Price is the first thing every buyer wants to know and the last thing most bag suppliers want to disclose. We’d rather be direct. This guide breaks down the actual cost of custom reusable grocery bags by material, quantity, and printing — so you can budget before you request a quote.
Price Ranges by Material
Every product in our catalog falls into one of five price tiers. These ranges cover the per-unit cost including one-color screen printing on one location.
$0.59–$3.00 — Non-woven grocery bags
The most affordable tier. The Metro Reusable Grocery Bag, Original Standard Grocery, Solana Reusable Tote, and Two-Tone Heavy Duty w/Insert all fall here. At 1,000+ units, per-unit costs drop toward the lower end. Minimum 200 units.
$3.01–$7.00 — Cotton totes, insulated bags, premium non-woven
The Cotton Canvas Reusable Grocery, 100% Raw All Purpose Cotton Tote, Enviro Sack Thermo Tote (insulated), and heavier-duty non-woven styles. Cotton minimums start at 100 units.
$7.01–$15.00 — Canvas bags, specialty styles
Heavy canvas grocery bags, larger insulated totes, and bags with special features like reinforced inserts and pocket organizers.
$15.01–$25.00 — Custom builds with premium features
Bags with custom dimensions, specialty closures, multiple compartments, or other features beyond standard stock options.
$25.00+ — Fully custom laminated bags
The Laminated Grocery, Retail, Trade, rPET Shopping Bag, and MEGA Shopper Extra Large Grocery. Full-color CMYK edge-to-edge printing. Minimum 2,500 units.
What Drives the Price
Quantity: The biggest lever. Price breaks typically occur at 250, 500, 1,000, 2,500, and 5,000+ units. Ordering just above a threshold can cut your per-unit cost significantly. Always ask us where the next price break is.
Material: Non-woven is cheapest. Cotton and insulated are mid-range. Laminated is the most expensive due to the full-color printing process.
Size: Larger bags use more material. A standard grocery bag costs less than an extra-large tote in the same material.
Print colors: One-color is included. Each additional screen color adds a per-unit charge. Full-color CMYK (laminated only) is priced separately.
Features: Reinforced inserts, insulation, zippered closures, and pockets all add cost.

Cost Per Use vs. Disposable Bags
Disposable plastic bag: $0.01-$0.03 per bag. Used once. Cost per use: $0.01-$0.03. Zero brand value.
Paper bag: $0.05-$0.15 per bag. Used once. Cost per use: $0.05-$0.15. Zero brand value.
Non-woven reusable bag: $0.59-$3.00 per bag. Used 50-300+ times. Cost per use: $0.01-$0.06. Generates thousands of brand impressions.
Cotton reusable bag: $3.00-$7.00 per bag. Used hundreds of times. Cost per use: $0.01-$0.03. Premium brand impression with every use.
On a per-use basis, reusable bags are competitive with — or cheaper than — disposable bags. And they deliver marketing value that disposable bags never will.
